Scott Kaufman
Scott
Kaufman received his BA from University of South Florida in 1981.
After several years running his own business, he returned to school,
obtaining his J.D. from Willamette University College of Law in 1997.
Since then Scott has represented the “little guy’s” interests
throughout the state of California.
Scott is a former member of the Southern California advanced litigation chapter of the “Inn of Court.” He has organized and taught
multiple California certified Mandatory Continuing Legal Education
classes, and has appeared on both radio and television as an attorney
specializing in consumer protection matters. Scott regularly speaks at
and volunteers with the University of Santa Clara's clinical program in
Consumer Law.
Scott
has always stood up for the little guy, whether it was small businesses
(at the beginning of his practice) or consumers, which he exclusively
represents now. A short list of Defendants Scott has successfully sued
include some large multi-national corporations like Bank of America, BMW, Chrysler, Citigroup, Ford, GM, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Mazda, Nissan, Office Depot, Toyota, and Wells Fargo.
Towards
the end of 2003 Scott left his job with a large multi-state firm
specializing in lemon law in Los Angeles as the firm seemed less
interested in helping its clients than in helping itself. Scott then
founded California Lemon Lawyers, dedicated to helping consumers rather than maximizing his own profits.
Scott has been a Bay Area
resident since January of 2004. His life is kept busy with the
concerns his business, clients and caring for his growing young
family. His wife, son and new baby girl are the treasures and joys of
his life.
